A TOURBILLON OF AUDACITY TO PUSH THE BOUNDARIES OF YOUR SPACE-TIME

“The Wormhole,” a concept imagined and watch designed by designer BLYNE, created by Black Corner with Blackout Watches, is not just a watch. It’s more than a watch. It’s a poetic, philosophical experience. An introspective sensory, temporal, and existential journey.
A unique watchmaking experience.

More than a watch..

“The Wormhole”: the “wormhole”. In astrophysics, a wormhole is an object, a passage that connects two distinct regions of space-time. It materializes, on one side, as a black hole and, on the other side, as a white hole. A wormhole thus forms a shortcut through space-time.

“The Wormhole,” the timepiece, is therefore a permanent invitation to a unique journey for those who wear it on their wrist: to find and go through their own “wormhole.” Imagine and take this metaphysical passage to discover new spaces and times in their lives. To push their limits. To connect what we are to what we could become. To what we should be. To what we will accomplish.

On the wrist, “The Wormhole” watch is a symbolic, yet very real, “wormhole” that encourages us, invites us to broaden our horizons. To abolish our boundaries. To push back our limits. To break our ceilings to surpass ourselves and achieve goals we thought impossible. To transform utopias into ever-big dreams. Always fulfilled…

All about The Wormhole

This “wormhole” in space - The case.

This “wormhole” in the space-time of your life is materialized, at the level of the watch case, by a superposition of different geometric shapes: a sleek octagonal case, inspired by the portholes of spaceships, topped with a round bezel which softens the lines of the case and encloses the dial.

The "black hole" - The dial

The dial is the “black hole,” the famous gateway to “The Wormhole.”

Its abysmal blackness draws you in, captivatingly and inexorably, into the “wormhole.” It is coated with Musou Black lacquer, an acrylic paint that absorbs up to 99.4% of light. Black is abysmal.

The Musou Black coating deliberately subtly distinguishes the engravings that reinforce the visual effect of aspiration. They start from the central axis and join in an ellipse the 12 grooves of the bezel, which materialize the 12 o'clock.

Sumptuous and hypnotic - The central Tourbillon

At the center of the dial sits majestically a sumptuous and hypnotic Central Flying Tourbillon, the ultimate complication of Fine Watchmaking.

It spins and sucks you inexorably into the bowels of the “wormhole watch”…

The "White Hole" - The Caseback

To enhance the “watch-wormhole” experience, the mechanical movement, at the case-back, is revealed and sparkles through a sapphire crystal.

A sumptuous, decorated and polished movement, whose sophisticated play of light embodies the “white hole”, the exit door from the “wormhole”.

Ultra Black - The bracelet and the crown

An “ultra black” strap in genuine alligator leather, treated to reproduce the color and feel of dark, matte carbon, and a ball crown combining aesthetics, practicality and sensuality, enhance the whole, with an attention to detail, a quest for quality and a thirst for experience that borders on obsession.

Answers to your questions about our tourbillons

A flying tourbillon at this price, why and how?

We noticed that there was a big gap in the watch market between:

  • Swiss Made tourbillon watches: magnificent and very well finished, but excessively expensive and therefore inaccessible for the majority of enthusiasts (often more than 20,000 CHF).
  • Tourbillon watches from Asian manufacturers and assemblies. Much cheaper, but very unreliable and often without any after-sales service…

At Blackout, you are choosing a unique hybrid model that combines the know-how and expertise of our Swiss watchmakers with the reliability and accessibility of Asian parts.

Thanks to our watchmakers certified by more than 26 major brands, and to the head of watchmaking David, a former tourbillon caster who worked at Patek Philippe for example, we have implemented a method for making Asian tourbillons more reliable.

How do you make your tourbillons reliable?

The Blackout Method was developed after testing and modifying thousands of Asian whirlpools.

We realized that neglecting several details was the cause of many technical defects in the movements.

We carry out a series of tests and modifications to eliminate the risk of malfunction.

Among these modifications, certain elements of the movement, which are considered too unreliable, are replaced by custom-made parts produced in Switzerland.

Our tourbillons are therefore completely transformed in our workshops in Geneva, Switzerland, before being fitted into their cases.

How am I supported after my purchase?

If you are a customer, you already know this, and if you are new to us, know that we have developed the most efficient customer service on the market! We understand how important it is to support you, to be close to you, this is what sets us apart.

In case of a desired revision of the model, or any other problem, the after-sales service support is fast and transparent, and the replacement is just as much.

Absolute black: The Musou Black

Musou Black is one of the blackest Japanese paints in the world, capable of absorbing up to 99.4% of visible light . Its extreme matte finish literally makes volumes disappear, leaving only a deep, almost unreal black.

For our “The Wormhole” project, each dial is made in Switzerland , with an exceptional level of finish. The result is fascinating: even when observed under a microscope, there are no defects or irregularities . Just absolute, pure, hypnotic black—a technical and aesthetic feat that perfectly illustrates our quest for perfection.
