World Champion in 2017. Olympic Champion in 2021. European Champion in 2024, where he was named best player of the tournament. Nedim Remili has won the three major titles in international handball, and he has been selected for the All-Star team each time.
This is the line you read everywhere. It's not what convinced us.
Our first meeting took place in the Parisian boutique. What happened next was far from obvious: we were faced with a watch enthusiast, curious, precise in his questions, and without an ounce of ego. He talks about watches like someone who loves them, not like someone who is used to being given them. Since then, he has spoken about Blackout with the same enthusiasm, without us ever having to ask him.
An example is worth more than a statement of intent.
Several years after the start of our collaboration, we are launching Blackout Hours, a podcast we wanted to dedicate to what time represents for extraordinary people. Nedim was the right guest: few careers pack so much into so few years.
He was in the middle of his season with his club in Hungary. Passing through France for medical examinations due to an injury. The kind of trip where you do nothing other than what you came for.
He rearranged his day, cleared two hours, and came to the studio to record the episode.
No one had asked him. There was no contractual obligation behind it, no compensation to negotiate. He came because he believes in what we are building, and because the relationship between us has always been of this nature.
For us, a good collaboration looks exactly like that. Not a well-drafted contract. It looks like someone who rearranges their day.
